The goal of the NCSCA Emerging Leaders program is to identify potential leaders within the school counseling profession in North Carolina and provide them with opportunities to become involved with NCSCA. NCSCA is accepting applications for this program through the end of January 2019.
Criteria
Emerging Leaders must:
Be a current NCSCA member
Be a practicing school counselor or counselor educator currently in North Carolina
Not be (or have been) an appointed or elected member of the NCSCA board
Have a desire to give to the profession through service and leadership
Responsibilities
Emerging Leaders must:
Participate in the NCSCA Delegate Assembly/Leadership Day
Present (or co-present) at least one educational session at the annual conference
Attend NCSCA Board of Directors meetings
Write at least one article for NCSCA News
Commit to one year of training and one year of service on any board committee

Application Process
Individuals interested in becoming an Emerging Leader must submit the following:
Letter of interest
Resume
Recommendation from their supervisor
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted electronically by Jan. 31, 2019 to President-Elect Lyn Bush at presidentelect@ncschoolcounselor.org
