To make a nomination, use the online submission form. The Nomination Packet requirements include:
Nomination information: candidate name, leadership position sought, relevant certifications, current job title, current employer, address, phone, email and a nomination paragraph.
Nomination paragraph (limited to 150 words) explains the candidate’s reason for seeking the nomination, to be included in the official ballot; should include how the candidate’s election would benefit NYSSCA members and how the candidate’s experience will enhance the work of the NYSSCA Board.

The New York State School Counselor Association is seeking qualified presenters for the 2017 Conference. We welcome topics addressing comprehensive school counseling program design and implementation and accountability for school counselors.

The Orange County Counselor Association and the Dutchess County Counselor Association will host the 2nd annual Professional Development Day on March 14, 2018, at Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Registration is now open for our 14th annual School Counselors Conference. We will feature engaging workshops and you'll have the opportunity to network with your colleagues. Vendors will also be on hand to provide school counseling materials. Access registration information
Our keynote speaker is Carol Dahir, Ed.D., a professor and chair of the School Counseling Department at New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), one of 32 institutions of higher education involved in Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative. Prior to joining the faculty at NYIT, Dr. Dahir worked as a classroom teacher, school counselor and supervisor of school counseling and pupil personnel services.
Catholic Secondary School Counselors Annual Conference takes place on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 8:30am-1pm at Fordham University Lincoln Center campus. $20 for members to attend. $25 for non-members. Email Christine Curcio at ccurcio@stjohnsprepschool.org for details.
