We’re excited to introduce the first ever Indiana School Counselor and Administrator Collaborative Institute, hosted by Ball State University with event management support provided by National Center for Youth Issues. This new, creative event is June 14-15, 2020, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Noblesville Indianapolis Conference Center. The Institute is geared toward strengthening the school counselor and administrator relationship. This will be a great opportunity to learn, network and come together for student success. School counselors and administrators from the same school are encouraged to attend together – see registration information below.
Calling all presenters! The Indiana School Counselor and Administrator Collaboration Institute is soliciting proposals for presentations promoting critical inquiry and solutions in pre-K–12 schools to better address students’ social, emotional, academic and career needs.
The ISCACI invites in-service and preservice professionals in areas of school counseling and educational leadership to submit a proposal in the domains of student success, college and career readiness, community engagement, educational equity, principal/counselor roles and relationships. If your session is selected, your registration fee to the Institute is waived! Submit your proposal
You can now register for the 2020 ASCA National Conference. The conference is from Saturday, June 27 through Tuesday, June 30 in Seattle, Wash. We hope to see lots of our Indiana School Counselors there! Register for the ASCA Annual Conference
Scholarships in Occupational Safety
Again this year, the Central Indiana American Society of Safety Professionals (CIASSP) is offering up to three scholarships (up to $1,000 each) to Indiana high school seniors seeking a career in Occupational Safety. These scholarships are awarded to students seeking to enroll in university, collage or technical courses leading to a career in safety. Please note that nursing is not considered a “safety” career for purposes of this scholarship.
Students will also need to submit two references and their unofficial transcript. All items should be submitted in one email to secretary@cetnralindiana.assp.org
The due date for the applications is March 31, 2020.
