Let’s Lead Together

By Hillary Emmer | February 2020

School counselors are the unsung leaders of our schools. Thank you to each of you for your continued diligence and work with the students of Utah. At times, this work can feel futile and overwhelming, but know that the Utah School Counselor Association sees you! We see the countless hours you put into preparing programs and events, we see the difficult phone calls you have to make and we see how you give your time and care every single day for your students. And we are not the only ones to see you! Now, more than ever, our school counselors are a part of the conversation when it comes to political considerations and leading educators on what will help our students the most. And we are just getting started!

This month, I personally encourage each of you to serve with me on the Board of Directors for the Utah School Counselor Association. There are a variety of ways to serve and to be involved and I am happy to help you see these goals! Your fellow school counselors need your voice and your leadership!
