Maybe it’s not quite here yet, but spring is in sight, and it’s the perfect time to think about some professional development to rejuvenate your mind and spirit as the trees and flowers bloom. The biggest PD opportunity NJSCA is proud to provide to you is our 16th Annual Spring Conference, to be held on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Kean University. We are collaborating with the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling and the Counselor Education Department at Kean University to bring you a day of renewal. This year’s conference will highlight issues and outcomes that you – a school counselor – assume and address in helping students and their families prepare for future academic or career goals. You’ll be afforded an opportunity to network with colleagues and reinforce your skills through professional development workshops, sessions and program showcases designed to be informative, inspiring and memorable. Getting out of your building can sometimes be hard, but that doesn’t preclude you from taking advantage of some PD at your desk or on-the-go. ASCA offers a series of videos, webinars, and podcasts on many topics, including the ASCA National Model, 4th Edition, which debuted last summer. ASCA membership is required for certain items and live webcasts, but there are many free resources non-ASCA members can leverage, too.
Wishing you all the best for a productive and revitalizing spring season!
