New Model and News on Nicotine

As ASCA’s website says, the question has been posed, "What do school counselors do?" The more important question is, "How are students different as a result of what school counselors do?" To help answer this question, ASCA created the ASCA National Model, which is a framework for a data-informed school counseling program.

Download the ASCA National Model templates to use in your program. This download provides access to several documents including a lesson plan template, program assessments and data summary documents.  

Nicotine and Vaping

In 2015, the U.S. surgeon general reported that e-cigarette use among high school students had increased by 900 percent. And 40 percent of these teen e-cigarette users had never smoked regular tobacco. That was four years ago – imagine how high that figure is now, in 2019!
