Plan now to attend PSCA’s 64th annual conference, the only conference in the Commonwealth designed by school counselors for school counselors.
The November 21-22 PSCA Conference will be held at the Sheraton Hotel Pittsburgh at Station Square.
Featured Speakers/Presenters include:
Brian Coleman, the 2019 ASCA School Counselor of the Year, will address the conference attendees at the opening session on Thursday, November 21.View Coleman’s SCOY acceptance speech here.
Dr. Trish Hatch will be the featured presenter on Friday, November 22, and will speak on the challenges and strategies of working with difficult people. In smaller sessions, she will also address the use of data by elementary and secondary school counselors, and will offer book signings.
Bernie Hoffman, a regular presenter at PSCA conferences, will present sessions specific to challenges school counselors and other pupil services workers face in an increasingly complex and challenging environment. He will also offer individual and small group consultation to address best practices their unique situations.
Mark Kuranz, a frequent presenter at PSCA conferences, will focus on the fourth edition of the ASCA National Model and will address the changes and updates. He will also consider implications for RAMP applications.
PSCA will offer nearly 50 skill builder and poster sessions. These sessions will focus on the current needs and issues facing school counselors.
More than 50 exhibitors will be available to provide resource materials and information relative to the current practices and needs of school counselors.
The Thursday evening recognition program will highlight exemplary school counselors and school counselor advocates.
And, of course, opportunities to network with colleagues will be abundant.
