By Tracey Brown | January 2019

Attention LSSSCA members: Do you want to become a school leader who can make a difference for your students and school counseling peers?

If so, we invite you to become a part of the LSSSCA Leadership Model Program.

The Leadership Model Program will launch in spring 2019 and will afford participants the opportunity to engage in one or more of the following leadership activities:
  • Specialist Counseling Skills Training
Members engage in specialized training courses that equip counselors with the skills necessary to promote students’ personal, social and emotional growth and development.
  • Ambassador Program
Members serve alongside LSSSCA board members at the Annual Conference
  • Mentorship Training
Members (approved by Lone Star Awards Chair) support Lone Star Award/RAMP applicants who apply for the Lone Star Award
  • Professional Development Training
School counselor leadership skills training is available through regional and district-level summits and at the Annual Conference
  • Leadership Recognition
Participants will be recognized for their outstanding leadership contribution at the Annual Conference
We encourage LSSSCA members to become a part of a one-of-a-kind counselor leadership training model that will provide the skills necessary to become outstanding school counselor leaders who impact and influence positive change for students in Texas. Request more information about the program
