President’s Letter: Celebrate Your Work and Your Why

By Gabrielle S. Brundidge | January 2026

Thank you for your attendance and support at this year’s state conference! Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting so many new ones was truly the highlight of the week. Your presence, your energy and your passion are what make our GSCA community so special.

We’ve officially made it through the first semester – congratulations! I hope you take a moment to celebrate the incredible work you’ve done and the lives you’ve touched. As you reflect on this school year, I encourage you to remember your “why.” Your why grounds you, inspires you, and fuels the important work you do every single day. It is your why that empowers you to help students rule their experiences and to continue showing up with purpose.

As we prepare to enter the second semester, stay focused on that why. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep leading with heart. GSCA has several regional mini conferences planned, so please be on the lookout for details from your region liaisons. Lunch will be provided at each mini conference, generously sponsored by Universal Technical Institute (UTI).

Also, mark your calendars: Day at the Capitol is February 4, 2026. We hope you will join us in Atlanta as we advocate for our profession and for the students we serve. More information will be shared in January.

Thank you again for all you do for Georgia’s students, families and schools. I hope you enjoyed the restful and joyful holiday season you deserve!
