Safe Schools Resources
All students need a safe, violence-free environment for learning. School counselors serve as leaders in creating safe and supportive school climates. Efforts to improve school climate, safety and learning are not separate endeavors. They must be designed, funded and implemented as a comprehensive schoolwide approach that facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration and builds on a multitiered system of supports.
