AI for School Counselors: Building Literacy, Tools and Ethical Practice
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming education, and school counselors must be prepared to use it wisely and responsibly. This full-day training provides school counselors with the knowledge, skills and hands-on practice to integrate AI into their programs while maintaining ethical, student-centered practices. Participants will build their own AI literacy, explore how AI can save time and strengthen advocacy efforts, and discover how to use AI to support students in social/emotional learning and postsecondary readiness. The training emphasizes safe and ethical practices, equips school counselors to model AI literacy for students and provides hands-on creation time so participants leave with ready-to-use resources. By the end of the day, school counselors will feel confident using AI to save time, support students and strengthen their programs in alignment with the ASCA National Model® and ASCA Student Standards.
